During the exchange I gained very valuable insights into the current understanding of SOA formation and the various SOA modelling approaches that are currently used. I had the fortunate opportunity to take part in the first modelling study that treated a bitumen related SOA precursor. A paper is currently in preparation that should publish some of the modelling results. Additionally I gained some very valuable experience using a box model that I will be able to apply in my research in the future. In the coming months I will be working to setup a peroxy radical chemical amplification (PERCA) chamber in order to measure peroxide radicals. I hope to use a simple box model to further understand the chemistry that occurs in the PERCA chamber.
