The objectives of IACPES are:
- To tackle future issues in atmospheric science and planetary exploration. Future advances in atmospheric science will increasingly rely on interdisciplinary and collaborative research in atmospheric chemistry and physics. IACPES offers a forum for this to take place, to the benefit of the trainees and the atmospheric and planetary science community.
- To create a pool of well educated, well trained atmospheric scientists whose expertise and education transcends the traditional conventional boundaries of chemistry and physics, modeling and measurements, science and policy, boundary layer and higher atmospheric layers, ground based and airborne/space based measurements, earth and planetary atmospheres.
- To provide a forum for collaborative and interdisciplinary research in areas that require integrated knowledge of atmospheric chemistry and physics.
