I had the opportunity to complete an exchange, as part of the NSERC CREATE IACPES program, at the University of Michigan … Although shorter than the traditional 6 month IACPES doctoral exchanges, I found my two months at the University of Michigan to be highly productive and very educational. … Overall, I found the exchange process to be highly educational and am grateful for the opportunity that IACPES has provided. After my return to Canada, I hope that I might be able to continue working on some of the projects that I began at the University of Michigan, and am excited with the prospect of applying what I have learned to my projects at my University. I also hope that my exchange will help foster career long connections, and lead to future collaborations.
