The IACPES Training Week in Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics will be held the week of June 10 – 14, 2013 at York University. Funding is provided by NSERC.
This training week is mandatory for all IACPES trainees.
Other graduate, undergraduate students and PDFs who have an interest in Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics are welcome to attend. Professional scientists are also welcome to register for the summer course and may attend the symposium.
Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered for all graduate students and/or postdocs that are formally supported by the training program.
The Training week is composed of three activities as follows:
1. IACPES Symposium Day, Monday, June 10
The objective of the symposium is to co-locate all students and participants in the program, to foster discussion of future research, opportunities for exchange, and professional networking.
The symposium day will include presentations from IACPES graduate students. This will form part of the trainees professional development. The trainee presentations will be assessed in regard to communications and presentation skills by the York University Career Services. The symposium will also be open for presentations by other graduate students, undergraduates and PDF. A poster session will form part of the day.
This symposium is free. It will be attended by graduate students, undergraduate students, PDFs, investigators and collaborators. Professional participants from industry and government organizations are also welcome to attend and participate.
